How to overcome your biggest fear?
Fear can be a crippling thing.
You can become paralyzed by fear.
And it can be the driving force for so many emotions.
Fear of illness.
Fear of not having enough money.
This can show itself in so many ways.
Fear of failure at home…..am I a good enough mother?
Fear of failure at work….am I valued and good enough?
Fear of health….am I taking care of myself or am I eating my emotions?
Fear of being alone….am I settling in my relationships?
So we drown ourselves in work to prove our productivity and worthiness and to feel secure in our future.
We drown ourselves in motherhood, doing everything for others but neglecting ourselves.
We drown ourselves in food because it is the only way to numb the fear and stress.
We drown ourselves in unhealthy relationships that we know deep down don’t serve us.
Ultimately, we are sabotaging ourselves.
We are not taking care of ourselves from the inside out and ultimately, perpetuating our fears through our actions.
I want you to know you are not alone.
We have all been there.
I want you to know that you have everything it takes to turn that fear into a force of good for yourself. The first step is always awareness.
You need to take care of you so that you can take care of others, so that you can be your best in all areas.
So whatever your biggest fear is, the next time is shows its face, all I want you to try is this.
- Call it out.
- Be aware of it every time it shows itself.
- Take one step, one action towards a better choice for you. Maybe it is a boundary for work, maybe it is making that smoothie, maybe it is rolling on the floor laughing with your kids instead of stressing about dinner, maybe it is walking away from your partner in an argument, protecting that inner peace, and reading a book that soothes your soul.
It is these simple one-time decisions over and over that ultimately give you the power to make huge positive changes in your life – one simple step at a time.
